Olive oil. That lovely golden base for salad dressings. The stuff you mix with balsamic vinegar and dunk your bread in (if you're fancy) or slosh in a pan to fry your full English (if you're a little less fancy. Or you're me.)
Low waste. Zero waste. Plastic Free.
They're huge buzzwords right now, and for good reason.
Even if you haven't seen that video of the sea turtle with the plastic straw stuck in its nose then you've probably watched a David Attenborough documentary, or seen the photo of the sea horse clutching a cotton bud, and you get the picture.
Plastic is everywhere. And while it definitely has its place - in medical procedures, for example - it's the everyday single use plastic, those cotton buds and plastic straws, that are bad news for wildlife, bad news for our planet and ultimately, bad news for us.
Isn’t that a bit, well, gross?
Is it even hygienic?
You know soap comes in nice plastic bottles with a pump thing now, right?
